What a great turn out! Thank you to all who came and to Mrs. Crawley for organizing this event!
November Standout Star Students
Reading on the Roof

Mr. Carson and Mrs. Ray accepted the principal challenge given by Ashley Greene to read from bell to bell. The Principal Challenge is part of Pizza Hut BOOK IT! Program’s National Young Readers Week celebration November 10-14 that is an annual event co-founded by Pizza Hut and the Center for the Book in the Library of Congress. Mr. Carson and Mrs. Ray gladly read on the rooftop in hopes of firing our students up about reading! Pizza Hut very graciously donated a slice of pizza to every person at WMES. Thank you to everyone involved!
One lucky elementary school principal will win 101 copies for their library of the ninth book in the Wimpy Kid series, Diary of a Wimpy Kid: The Long Haul which releases on November 4th.   Jeff Kinney, author of the Wimpy Kid books, will personally autograph one of the books for the principal who read their heart out.
A special thanks to Dorothy Carson, Alena Carson and Jeff Boone for braving the roof to read to our students!
